Job summary

Amica Mature Lifestyles Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Performance in Toronto to lead a small team and harmonize business operations through advanced analytics and planning.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, and Sales to drive performance, design dashboards, and improve forecasting and reporting processes while supporting strategic initiatives. Hybrid work with in-office collaboration is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of finance experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with and analyze large datasets.

Expected Salary Range : $125,000-156,000

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance Operations, the Senior Manager of Business Performance will lead a team of 1-2 analysts and will be responsible for harmonizing business operations, develop effective business strategies, and promote growth through performance analysis. The Senior Manager will build strong cross-functional relationships with the Finance, Operations, Resident Experience, Sales & Marketing, and People Development groups to understand the needs of these business lines, how they measure success, and how their success generates value for the organization. This person should possess strong analytical skills, good strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, exceptional numerical proficiency, and strong leadership skills. The Senior Manager will develop the team’s full potential through coaching, mentoring and personal development opportunities.

What you will be doing

Business PerformanceMeasurement and Analysis

• Leading and overseeing the Business Performance team, the team objectives and delivery of reports and analysis for senior management
• Coordinate the automation of reporting processes, enhancement of existing dashboards, and development of new dashboards in collaboration with Amica’s external owners.
• Lead the review and enhancement of key operational models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business objectives.
• Support monthly management reporting, quarterly board and capital reporting, and reporting to external owner portals, while ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of all critical reporting requirements.
• Build and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships across the organization, bringing new and creative ways of doing things to the function
• Providing thought leadership to drive performance enhancements and operational improvements; lead high impact strategic initiatives and projects to enhance the reporting and analytical infrastructure
• Makes recommendations to take corrective action and mitigate risk to stabilize operations and achieve or exceed annual operating objectives
• Refine performance metrics and institute standard data definitions to simplify the digestion of business performance

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Be a business partner in the annual operating and capital plan process through the development of review schedules, scenario modelling and analysis
• Lead budget planning and workflows, including the capital budgeting process execution of the Operating Plan
• Liaise with other department leaders as required to support an efficient, effective, and comprehensive process for the annual operating plan
• Lead the execution of all OneStream enhancements as well as enhancements of the forecasting process

People Development.

• Manage, coach, and develop a group of finance professionals. Promote a culture of high engagement, high performance, and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
• Provides timely and ongoing feedback to direct reports through performance evaluations and identifying areas for improvement
• Identify opportunities to challenge team members and grow their skillsets
• Be viewed as a trusted advisor by department leaders and senior executives and provide timely and valued support.

Required Qualifications

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based role with frequent use of computer systems, financial applications, reporting tools, and virtual collaboration platforms.

• Required to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines during budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and strategic planning cycles.
• May require occasional travel to corporate offices, communities, or off-site business meetings and planning sessions.
• May be required to work additional hours during peak business periods, including annual operating plan development, forecast cycles, and board reporting periods.
