Purpose
The Senior Manager Business Intelligence, Portfolio Optimization will support the Private Banking Business by building and possessing deep knowledge of the Private Banking business and ensuring the high quality, accurate and timely delivery of information. This role will collaborate with partners and business leaders to evaluate overall success. You will possess a track record of exceptional communication and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the profitable growth of Private Banking
- Contributes and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
- Provide meaningful insight and thought leadership that advances Private Banking’s strategic agenda and informs senior leader decision-making
- Partner with business lines within wealth and the bank to establish valuable reporting to showcase the success of Private Banking
- Clearly communicate recommendations through well-crafted presentations, reports, and dashboards.
- Facilitates cross-departmental collaboration to align system functionality with evolving business processes.
- Conducts strategic data analysis to identify insights and implications, making informed recommendations and developing data displays that effectively communicate complex analyses derived from modern data streams.
- Researches, analyzes, and synthesizes data, trends, leading practices, and other business intelligence in support of business plans
- Identify and monitor KPI’s, key market trends, and revenue opportunities
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and change management
- Support key strategy projects by leading the day-to-day execution of key strategic and business development initiatives
Manage the reporting for the Private Banking business by:
- Developing resources to showcase the overall performance of Private Banking
- Quantifying the value of planned enhancements including revenue growth and cost reallocation benefits
- Ensuring the data integrity of all reporting
Act as a key partner in the development, implementation and management of operational strategies within Private Banking by:
- Identifying opportunities for centralization of administrative work
- Assisting with the development of KPI’s to evaluate performance
- Participating in business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal development
Contribute to the effective functioning of the Private Banking Business Intelligence and Private Banking Head Office team by:
- Participating actively in team learning development activities and team performance achievements
- Building effective working relationships across the team and with various business lines
- Facilitating a culture of open and honest communication
- Actively participating and contributing to touch bases and team meetings
- Encouraging the generation of new ideas and approaches
- Actively share knowledge and experience to enhance the development of all team members
- Developing and executing a meaningful employee development plan

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ Years of experience in an analytical or quantitative role
- Thorough knowledge of Private Banking operations and sales environments
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s production and legacy systems;
- Expert knowledge of Bank regulations, policies, procedures, and operations;
- Proficiency and knowledgeable with databases including SQL, My SQL etc. is an asset.
- Proficiency and knowledgeable with analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Python, R, Alteryx, Microsoft PowerApps/Power Automate.
- Advanced skills with MS Office and Adobe Products, such as Excel, PowerPoint, MS Forms, MS Teams, Outlook, etc.
