Senior Manager, Assurance Standards Training (Bilingual)

Join our team as a Senior Manager in Assurance Standards Training at MNP, a leading Canadian accounting, tax, and business advisory firm. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely anywhere in Canada and is a two-year term position.

Our Assurance Professional Development team provides industry-leading training and technical expertise to support our Assurance and Accounting practice. As a trusted advisor, you will design and deliver training programs that empower our team members to excel in Assurance and Accounting services.

Responsibilities

  • Drive firm quality initiatives as part of the Quality, Risk & Compliance team.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality assurance and accounting training programs.
  • Create and maintain in-house training content and materials.
  • Provide advice on complex accounting and assurance issues in collaboration with the Assurance Professional Standards Group.
  • Translate conference and training insights into practical tools and resources for the firm.
  • Work with managers and partners to uphold assurance and accounting standards and promote quality control.
  • Participate in professional development and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel as needed.

Skills and Experience

  • CPA designation or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant public accounting experience.
  • Bilingual in French and English, with excellent written and spoken skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of CAS, ASPE, and IFRS standards.
  • Strong understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles.
  • Proven technical writing and project management skills.
  • Leadership and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to client service excellence.
  • Assets include experience in assurance and accounting training, managing client engagements in public accounting, especially in Public Companies, Technology, or Indigenous industries, and familiarity with US GAAP, PCAOB, or US auditing standards.
