Qualifications

• At least 2 years of industry experience trading discretionary accounts using a model-based approach.

Senior Managed Account Trader (12 Month Contract)

Impact on the Organization

As part of the Asset Management Services team, you will ensure the accurate stewardship of client fee-based assets, aiming to increase fee-based assets and revenues at Raymond James Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor email for trade instructions from third-party managers and internal portfolio managers.
• Update models and generate trades for market execution; coordinate larger orders with the trading desk.
• Query daily asset movements on the SMA program and compile bulk trading lists for execution.
• Calculate foreign exchange exposure and arrange rates for cross-currency transactions.
• Identify and rebalance accounts with excess cash quarterly.
• Perform quality control checks on trades.
• Download and distribute weekly / monthly reports.
• Assist with projects related to fee-based accounts and other duties across fee-based platforms.

Candidate Expectations

• Post-secondary diploma or degree.
• Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) is an asset.
• At least 2 years of industry experience trading discretionary accounts using a model-based approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Dataphile, Croesus, or similar is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines in a high-volume environment with attention to detail.
• Excellent email, videoconferencing, and telephone etiquette and relationship management skills.

Salary Range : BC (based on education and experience) : $60,000 - $70,000 plus performance bonuses / incentives.
