Job summary

The Wickaninnish Inn, a Relais & Châteaux property on Vancouver Island, seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician. You will contribute to guest comfort by maintaining interiors, exteriors and grounds while supporting preventative maintenance programs and project work.

The role requires physical fitness, the ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and a flexible schedule including weekends. Experience in hospitality maintenance is preferred and a BC Driver's License is required.

Qualifications

• Exemplary customer service and willingness to exceed guest expectations are required.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Professional appearance and calm, proactive demeanor.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends; able to work outdoors in various weather.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient, personalized guest service aligned with Relais & Châteaux and AAA standards.
• Uphold service promises and Inn standards within the maintenance team.
• Maintain daily guestrooms and public spaces, including landscaping duties.
• Perform painting, carpentry, and equipment maintenance tasks.
• Support interior and exterior building maintenance and preventative programs.
• Oversee bicycle fleet upkeep and furniture restoration.
• Work outdoors on diverse tasks and multi-site projects.
