Job summary

BGRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Calgary team. You will provide high levels of service to tenants while ensuring safe, reliable operation of building systems and equipment.

As part of the Building Operations team, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, respond to service requests, and support Operators and technicians with daily tasks to maintain a well‑maintained property and a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent.
• Fifth-Class Power Engineering Certificate is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with pumps, boilers, chillers, and air-handling equipment.
• Strong preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
• Experience with CMMS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant service requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and identify maintenance issues.
• Carry out mechanical repairs such as bearings and seals.
• Assist with day-to-day building operations and projects.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and on time.
• Support contractors and inspections as needed.
• Maintain tools and work areas in a safe condition.
• Uphold BGRE Safety, Health and Environment policies.
