We are seeking a Senior Mainframe Tester to oversee testing processes for our banking client. The candidate will test mainframe applications to ensure they meet client requirements and function correctly.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of mainframe applications.
• Develop and maintain test cases and data, utilizing automated testing tools.
• Test both web UI and batch mainframe backend systems.
• Develop and maintain applications using Mainframe Technologies like COBOL, JCL, DB2.
• Implement functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing objectives.
• Handle tasks related to Mainframe Testing, including JCL job handling, program execution, file management, GDG handling, job restart, JCL scanning, and VSAM file handling.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of mainframe testing experience.
• Strong experience with mainframe environments (z/OS, JCL, REXX).
• Experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, Batch Job execution.
• Proficiency in automation tools like CA Workload Automation, IBM Z Workload Scheduler.
• Experience in handling production environments and migrating applications.
• Proficient with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, SVN, GIT, Jenkins, HP-ALM).
• Knowledge of automation testing methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile projects.

Preferred Skills

• Banking domain knowledge.
