Job summary

TD Securities is seeking a Senior Mainframe Engineer to join the Payments Workflow Technology team in Toronto. You will lead design, development and maintenance of online and batch mainframe applications, collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver reliable, scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires hands-on expertise with MVS, COBOL, JCL and related tools, plus experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to SDLC or Agile processes.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of software development with substantial project work.
• Strong skills in mainframe MVS, TSO, COBOL, JCL and related utilities.
• Experience with DB2/IMS DB/DC databases and MQ messaging.
• Familiarity with Confluence and JIRA; ability to work in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain mainframe applications (online and batch).
• Lead technical aspects of projects from inception to deployment and provide estimates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers.
• Prepare test plans, code changes and support SDLC/Agile processes.
