Position Title: Logistics Specialist

Location: Calgary, AB

Reports to: Operations Manager

Summary

As a key member of the operations team, this role is responsible for dispatching operators and ensuring equipment readiness for oilfield service projects. You will coordinate daily logistics, manage the project scheduler, support operators, and contribute to safety, service quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch operators and equipment to projects, ensuring readiness and proper communication with field reps.
  • Maintain and update daily project scheduler and truck status reports.
  • Coordinate equipment prep with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of operators.
  • Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with training and HSE standards.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost control.
  • Occasionally assist with site visits, audits, and equipment inspections.

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years dispatching in Oil & Gas services, with leadership and cost management experience.
  • Previous field/operator experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
  • Flexible and safety-focused with a professional attitude.
  • Post-secondary education and safety certifications are assets.
  • Occasional travel to project sites required.
