Job summary

Bantrel Co. is seeking a LNG specialized Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy team. Role can be based at Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Toronto or remotely within Canada on a part‑time on‑call basis.

Responsibilities include reviewing LNG Tank data sheets and specs, leading LNG Tank design and evaluation, and coordinating with technical staff. A Professional Engineer with 10–15 years LNG storage tank experience is required.

Qualifications

• A recognized mechanical engineering degree and registration as a Professional Engineer.
• 10–15 years LNG Storage Tank design experience.
• Knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards such as CSA Z276, ASME, ASTM, API 620/625, etc.
• Experience with LNG project pressure equipment or LNG plants is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review LNG Tank deliverables such as data sheets, specifications, and material requisitions.
• Lead LNG Tank design and evaluation.
• Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel as required.
• Review design documents from equipment manufacturers or subcontractors and prepare comments accordingly.
• Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by engineers, specialists or suppliers.
• Apply engineering department procedures to projects.
• Foster a collaborative work environment emphasizing openness, trust, and innovation.
