Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced engineer to research, design and deploy detection methods for Linux systems within the Falcon Host sensor. You will work with a small Linux engineering team to translate research into production-ready code, focusing on kernel/user-space internals, performance, and reliability.

The role blends research and implementation, requiring strong C/C++ skills, multi-threading, and collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in reverse engineering, threat detection, and malware analysis, or in building high-quality software in C/C++ for security.
• Solid knowledge of Linux OS internals: processes, storage, networking, and memory management.
• Ability to develop high-quality C/C++ code with high concurrency, reliability, and performance.
• Experience delivering enterprise software with cross-functional collaboration: testing, debugging, telemetry analysis, and release management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team.
• Experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build detection logic used across teams to detect cyber attackers and stop breaches.
• Research techniques for detecting malicious activity, including reverse engineering and big-data analysis.
• Own features from design to production, delivering them for deployment.
• Apply secure coding practices, testing paradigms, debugging, performance tracing, CI/CD, and OS internals.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team across geographies.
• Respond to and troubleshoot customer product issues.
• Take ownership and drive deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Handle additional projects as assigned.
