Overview

Senior Systems Administrator

We are looking for a proactive Linux Administrator with strong experience in enterprise environments. The role involves managing Linux systems, virtualization, automation, monitoring, and basic cloud operations.

Primary Skills

• 8+ years of hands on Linux administration
• Troubleshooting and handling of various server level issues
• Ability to analyze complex problems under pressure and devise effective solutions
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
• Manage VMware infrastructure and virtual machines
• Monitor systems using SCOM and respond to alerts
• Perform OS patching and updates across environments
• Automate tasks using Ansible and shell/Python scripting
• Support job scheduling using AutoSys
• Handle basic IBM MQ configurations and troubleshooting
• Manage hardware using HP OneView
• Collaborate with teams for issue resolution and performance tuning
• Assist with basic cloud operations (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Troubleshoot server-side network issues in coordination with the network team
• Hands-on experience with VMware and virtualization concepts
• Familiarity with HP OneView and SCOM
• Knowledge of patching tools and processes

• Basic understanding of IBM MQ
