Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact

Provide nuclear safety and licensing support to clients in the nuclear sector across various disciplines, including Nuclear Siting, Environmental / Impact Assessments, Safety Analyses, Emergency Preparedness, Nuclear Security, and Regulatory Affairs.

  • Propose, plan, lead, and/or conduct projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality work.
  • Assign and oversee tasks within the team.
  • Support proposal development.
  • Prepare technical reports for clients and regulators, such as the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
  • Occasional travel to other locations, client sites, and industry events.
  • Perform other duties as required.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Advanced knowledge of science and engineering principles, typically acquired through a 4-year university degree; additional project management or business courses are assets.
  • 9+ years of nuclear safety & licensing experience.
  • Experience with new build, Small Modular Reactors, or Advanced Reactors is an asset.
  • Knowledge of reactor designs and Canadian regulatory standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of nuclear power plant design and operation.
  • Motivated by working with engineering professionals committed to high-quality technical work.
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving assignments.
  • P.Eng. or eligibility for licensure in Canada is a strong asset.
  • Experience with nuclear utilities, CANDU suppliers, or CNSC-licensed organizations is an asset.
