A Canadian engineering consulting firm is looking for a lawyer to join their team to advise on legal matters, including contracts and M&A transactions. This role offers a flexible hybrid work model and requires a civil or common law degree along with 5-8 years of relevant experience. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, preferably with proficiency in French, to effectively engage with clients and team members. Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, General Counsel, you will join a team of lawyers and contract specialists advising the business on legal matters arising in the course of work, such as projects involving professional engineering services, project management, and claims management.
You will also be involved in M&A transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents and coordinating with outside counsel.
