Job summary

Best Buy Canada, a leader in consumer electronics, seeks an Industrial Automation Engineer for the GTA-based Brampton DC. This hybrid role requires 4 days on-site and 1 day remote per week.

You will design automated systems, optimize processes, and lead projects across facility layouts, automation upgrades, and material handling. You’ll collaborate with engineers, analysts, and supply chain experts to drive efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in engineering, logistics, or distribution.
• 2+ years of experience implementing warehouse automation.
• Advanced AutoCAD and Excel skills.
• Diploma or degree in Engineering, or related discipline.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design automated systems that increase productivity by improving the integration of people, processes, and technology.
• Design and implement improvements to automation equipment to increase efficiency and productivity for current and future business needs.
• Evaluate, analyze, recommend, and implement improvements pertaining to all distribution center processes, and material handling changes for configuration, reverse logistics, automated systems, and fulfillment operations.
• Manage projects of various sizes related to facility layout and design, relocation, new process integration, process revisions, technology deployment, labor modeling, and other related efficiency and waste reduction initiatives.
• Collaborative with highly skilled engineers, analysts, and supply chain specialists.
