Job summary

Best Buy Canada is seeking an Industrial Automation Engineer to lead automation and optimization initiatives at our GTA distribution centers. The role is hybrid, with four days at Brampton DC and one day remote weekly.

Responsibilities include designing automated systems, improving equipment efficiency, and managing projects across facility layouts and process integrations. A background in Lean/Six Sigma is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in engineering, logistics, or distribution
• 2+ years of experience implementing warehouse/industrial automation solutions
• Advanced AutoCAD and Excel skills
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline
• Certified in Lean & Six Sigma Black Belt preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and design automated systems to boost productivity by integrating people, processes and technology
• Design and implement improvements to automation equipment for current and future needs
• Evaluate and optimize distribution center processes and material handling changes
• Manage projects related to facility layout, relocation, new process integration, and labor modeling
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and supply chain specialists
