Novi Labs, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Leader to shape its SaaS portfolio built on world-class energy data.

You will define product strategy, partner with engineering, and deliver solutions that help operators, investors, and analysts make smarter capital decisions. This in-office Calgary role requires 5+ years of enterprise software leadership, deep customer empathy, and a track record of shipping AI-enabled products.

Qualifications

The Position

Help shape Novi's SaaS product portfolio. You'll develop new products and workflows on top of world-class O&G data that help customers make great capital allocation decisions. The role includes validating product concepts, creating clear product requirements, partnering with engineering in an agile environment, empowering customer-facing teams, and shipping capabilities that deliver value to operators, investors, and analysts. We welcome candidates with SaaS product experience, strong technical skills and experience in oil & gas. This position is an in-office individual contributor role at Novi's office in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities
  • Support the company’s business objectives by contributing to product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Lead development and execution of Novi’s SaaS products from definition and planning through development, release, enabling product support teams, and outcome validation.
  • Provide project management support to ensure cross-functional coordination and regular communication to project stakeholders
  • Collaborate through agile processes (Jira) to develop user stories and requirements grounded in upstream domain knowledge and data-backed market/user insights.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, aligning product decisions with business goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Manage and refine product backlogs, clarifying requirements, balancing priorities, and exploring alternative technical approaches with product and engineering.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales on go-to-market activities (positioning, demos, training, collateral).
  • Support Sales and Customer Success by addressing client inquiries and creating materials that improve adoption and outcomes.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of enterprise software product leadership experience, with a proven record of defining and scaling successful SaaS products in complex business domains.
  • Deep customer empathy and the ability to translate market and user insights into product strategies that deliver measurable business and customer value.
  • Strategic and technical acumen; able to connect product vision to technology capabilities, guiding teams through architecture, design, and implementation of trade-offs.
  • Strong execution discipline, with a track record of bringing clarity and focus to complex product portfolios and delivering on ambitious roadmaps.
  • Product collaboration: Experience working with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to move from problem definition to shipped solutions.
  • Stakeholder communication: Proven ability to write concise specs, present tradeoffs, and facilitate decisions across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience shaping AI-enabled or data-driven products, with an affinity and strong understanding of how emerging technologies and AI tools can drive competitive advantage, enhance creativity, and amplify team productivity.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to engage credibly with technical leaders, business executives, and customers alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly and effectively learn a new industry vertical (if not already coming from the O&G space)

Background: Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering or Business or equivalent practical experience. Experience level : Senior
