The Role

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior / Lead Mechanical and Piping Engineer to join its Canadian operations. This role will support Bioproduct projects (Pulp and paper), primarily located in Eastern Canada. This role will ensurecompliance with company procedures, codes, and safety standards while coordinating multidisciplinary and distributed teams, and support project execution.

    Expected :

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer ( with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ); registration in other Canadian provinces is considered an asset.
  • At least 10-15 years of relevant technical experience in analysis, design, specification and procurement of Pulp & Paper and industrial process plant equipment and piping
  • Strong knowledge of industry practices and mechanical and piping codes and standards
  • Experience in process plant engineering, including : Design and drafting software (both 2D & 3D) Piping stress analysis Static equipment (. tank and vessel) design
  • Experience with tender documents and engineering deliverables
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Bonne connaissance des pratiques de l’industrie et des codes et normes en mécanique et tuyauterie.
  • Expérience en ingénierie d’usines de procédés, incluant : Logiciels de conception (2D et 3D) Analyse de contraintes de tuyauterie Conception d’équipements statiques (réservoirs, cuves)
  • Expérience avec les documents d’appel d’offres et livrables d’ingénierie.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en leadership.
  • Engagement envers la satisfaction client et la réussite de l’équipe
