Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Senior Lead, Environmental Data Management to head a cross-disciplinary team of data specialists. You will ensure EVR has the data tools, processes, and applications needed for compliance, regulatory reporting, and sustainability.

Reporting to the Director, Aquatic Health & Sciences, you will apply data governance across project intake, data collection, QA, documentation, and system design while guiding budget planning and coordinating with Glencore

Qualifications

7–10 years of data management experience in environment-related GIS projects.
Experience in project management and database/app design.
Understanding of environmental data systems and GIS integration.

Responsibilities

Lead a cross-disciplinary data management team and coordinate with supported business units and senior management.
Apply data governance and management standards across project intake, data collection, quality assurance, documentation, database design, application design and development, change management, and project management.
Contribute to annual strategic planning and support priorities across the business in alignment with Glencore and EVR requirements.
Provide leadership and mentorship through work planning and prioritization, career development, performance management, and fostering a positive team environment.
Lead annual budget planning and monthly financial tracking.
