Job summary

BluEarth is seeking a Land Contracts Specialist to join its Legal team in Calgary. This role manages the lifecycle of land agreements and related obligations, coordinating with Project Development, Corporate Development, Finance, Operations and Accounting to ensure timely execution and compliance across Canadian and U.S.

jurisdictions. Responsibilities include leading payments, maintaining contract records, drafting and coordinating execution, reviewing title documents, tracking registrations,

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of direct experience coordinating or administering land agreements for renewable energy projects.
  • Experience supporting projects across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions is an asset.
  • Experience reviewing land agreements for material issues and preparing real property disclosures is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the land payment process including coordinating payment requests and ensuring timely processing.
  • Own the administration of contract records and obligation tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Draft, adapt, prepare and coordinate execution of land agreements across Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Review title commitments and other title documents, and coordinate title curative activities.
  • Coordinate and track registration of land interests across jurisdictions with counsel and service providers.
  • Manage foreign ownership compliance declarations, registrations and filings.
  • Represent the Land team at project meetings and provide practical input on land matters.
  • Uphold BluEarth's Health, Safety and Environmental policies and company values.
  • Other duties as required.
