Job summary

SGS is seeking a Senior Lab Technician to prepare samples with accuracy and precision following SGS SOPs. The role involves independent work and teamwork to meet daily production targets, ensuring hold times and turnaround times are met.

You will operate basic instruments, train Lab Associates and Technicians, support quality verifications, and maintain safe laboratory practices while contributing to assay validations and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree in Chemistry or similar science discipline preferred.
• 2-3 years of relevant laboratory experience required.
• 4-5 years of relevant laboratory experience also listed in description.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples with accuracy following SGS SOPs.
• Sequence and load samples onto instruments; perform basic instrument operation.
• Train Lab Associates and Technicians.
• Support supervisors with investigations and corrective actions.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook and ensure quality verifications.
• Adhere to safety policies and manage inventory of chemicals.
