ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Position: Senior JDE Business Analyst (Principal Consultant level)

Job Type: Full-time salary (no contractors, temps, consultants)

Location: Markham, hybrid work (3 days in / 2 days out)

Product: JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.2

Functional Module: JD Edwards Service Contract Billing (SCB) and Work Order Management (WOM)

Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis
    1. Engage with business users and stakeholders to understand their business needs, processes, and requirements related to service contracts, billing, and work orders.
    2. Analyze and document the current business processes and identify gaps or areas for improvement within the JD Edwards system.
  2. System Configuration & Setup
    1. Configure and customize the JD Edwards Service Contract Billing (SCB) and Work Order Management (WOM) modules to meet business requirements.
    2. Setup service contract types, billing schedules, billing plans, and service levels.
    3. Configure work order types, status codes, and workflows, ensuring the system aligns with the business processes.
  3. Data Migration & Integration
    1. Assist in migrating legacy data (e.g., service contracts, work orders, billing history) to JD Edwards, ensuring proper data mapping and validation.
    2. Work closely with various departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and billing. This includes coordinating expense management, capital asset management, and payroll systems.
  4. Compliance & Documentation
    1. Ensure that JD Edwards configurations, customizations, and processes comply with relevant accounting, legal, and business standards.
    2. Document all configurations, custom forms, processes, and reports for future reference and auditing purposes.
  5. Collaboration with Technical Teams
    1. Work closely with JD Edwards developers and technical consultants to ensure seamless technical implementation of business requirements.
    2. Provide functional guidance for any customizations needed in the JD Edwards system (e.g., reports, applications, or integrations).
  6. System Optimization & Continuous Improvement
    1. Identify opportunities for process improvement or system optimization, ensuring the solution remains effective as business needs evolve.
    2. Suggest and implement system enhancements or patches to improve performance, functionality, and user experience.
  7. Testing & Validation
    1. Perform functional testing of the Service Contract and Work Order modules after configuration, ensuring all business requirements are met.
    2. Validate and test custom forms and reports to ensure they generate accurate data and are functioning as expected.
    3. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve any issues identified during testing.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Contract and Service Billing and Work Order Management modules.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage and ensure accuracy in complex billing and work order scenarios.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing financial data and generating comprehensive reports.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to efficiently resolve billing and work order issues and disputes.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne implementations, with a focus on Contract and Service Billing and Work Order Management.
