About the Role:

Liquid Analytics is seeking a Senior JavaScript Svelte Developer with 5+ years of experience in building reactive database web applications.

You have a keen eye for UI/UX design and master typography, layout, and color while delivering pixel-perfect interfaces.

As a full-stack developer, you’ll own end-to-end features, working on front-end and server-side components that drive a successful user experience.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring functional, user-centric features. Comfortable with client interactions, you excel at requirement analysis and documentation to deliver high-quality work.

This hybrid role requires you to be within 40 minutes of Blue Mountains (Thornbury) Ontario or 30 min to the Go Train in Barrie, which means you are 90 min to our location in the Blue Mountains. We come into the office anywhere from 1 to 3 days a week.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Expertise in JavaScript (Svelte), Python, and SQL
• Real-time web app development with WebSockets, WASM, and event-driven architectures.
• Modern front-end development strongly focuses on responsive UI, styling, and performance optimization.
• Styling expertise using Tailwind CSS, CSS Modules, and SCSS for scalable and maintainable UI.
• API development (REST, gRPC) and experience with CSV, Parquet, JSON, TOML, YAML
• State management & reusable UI component design for highly interactive applications
• Authentication & authorization (RBAC, ABAC)
• Database experience (PostgreSQL for transactions, DuckDB for analytics)
• Cloud and networking and DevOps skills
• AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Docker & Kubernetes for containerized deployments
• Redis Streams for inter-pod communication
• Redis Cache for application caching
• Networking & troubleshooting skills
• Testing & Automation (Playwright, Pytest, CI/CD pipelines)
• GitLab mono repo management
• Strong UX & UI design skills using Figma for prototyping and design systems
• Excellent communication & client-facing abilities, collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
