Job summary

Veriday Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Spring Developer for a 6-month contract with a reputed Banking client in Mississauga, Ontario. You will build server-side components, design architectures, and work with business stakeholders and global IT teams.

Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in office. The role requires 10+ years Java experience, Spring Boot, REST, cloud, CI/CD, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience building distributed, service-oriented, and microservice-style architectures on cloud platforms (AWS, ECS, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience building modern applications with Spring Boot and RESTful services.
• Advanced knowledge of multithreading and thread pools, with strong OOP and OOAD skills.
• Experience developing real-time, low-latency applications.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server), plus a solid understanding of storage architectures and when to use each.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix shell.
• CI/CD and code-quality tooling: Jenkins, TeamCity, SonarQube, Bitbucket.
• Experience with message-driven architectures (Kafka, EMS) and Agile SDLC.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Veriday Inc. is looking for a Senior Java Spring Developer for one of our reputed Banking clients for a 6-month contract with potential extension. You'll join the Spread Products Risk and Capital function area, building server-side components that support critical risk and capital decisions. You'll work directly with business stakeholders and global IT teams, with a real voice in the long-term strategic roadmap.

Engagement: 6-month with potential for extension

What You'll Do

What You Bring (Required)
