Summary

We are passively seeking Full Stack Java Developers to join our team in anticipation of future hiring needs. As a Full Stack Java Developer at Deloitte, you will design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for a leading North American Bank. This long-term staff augmentation role requires strong Java and Spring Boot expertise, with responsibilities in technical leadership, project management, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive innovation and process improvements.

What will your typical day look like?

Software Development:

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Develop and maintain application documentation.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of applications.

Quality Assurance:

• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Ensure applications are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards before deployment.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and UX/UI teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Contribute to cross-functional team meetings and overall project success.

Project Management:

• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables with project managers.
• Monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met.
• Allocate tasks and manage workload.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
• Assess risks and prioritize firm reputation, client and asset safety; ensure compliance with laws and regulations; apply ethical judgment; escalate control issues transparently.

Required:

• Extensive professional experience in full stack Java development (Java/J2EE), with large, complex applications.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience using Angular for front-end development.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) with strong SQL and ORM (Hibernate).
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Proficiency with front-end frameworks such as React is an asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related IT discipline.

Preferred:

• Experience in financial services/banking industry.
• Strong analytical ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to operate independently or with minimal supervision.
• Ability to deliver technical demonstrations.

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000, with eligibility for a bonus. Deloitte offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package, including competitive base salary, variable pay, and a range of benefits.
