Job summary

Expect REST and gRPC services, JVM tuning, and modernisation from Java 8 to 21. You will read heap dumps, optimise caches, and contribute to incident bridges with a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Strong Java backend development skills with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Ability to read GC logs and heap dumps, and perform JVM tuning and performance optimisations.
• Experience building REST and gRPC services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable Java services.
• Respond to incidents and contribute to postmortems and root-cause analyses.
• Improve monitoring, alerting and performance across services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable software.
