Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Senior Java Developer to enhance the client onboarding and regulatory platform from Montreal. The role focuses on Java EE/Core Java, Spring Boot, REST services, and data modeling with SQL and MongoDB, integrated in a hybrid work model.

The candidate will design scalable systems, mentor others, and contribute to automated testing and architectural decisions in a global, cross-functional team. French and English skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Java EE/Core Java with Java 21.
• Experience with Spring, REST services, SOA and system integration.
• Database design with SQL and MongoDB aggregation pipelines.
• Experience with Kafka and Unix/Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java EE and Core Java applications across the full SDLC.
• Build and integrate RESTful web services and SOA components with internal/external systems.
• Design and implement SQL data models and MongoDB aggregation pipelines.
• Develop and maintain event-driven systems using Kafka and distributed messaging.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across app, integration, and infra layers.
• Write and maintain automated tests using JUnit and BDD frameworks.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement.
