Job summary

Bounteous is seeking a data engineering professional to join its Canada team, driving a migration from on-premise data infrastructure to a modern cloud-first platform built on Databricks and Snowflake. You will embed with the client’s engineering team to migrate, modernize, and optimize enterprise-scale backend and data processing systems.

Key activities include building scalable data pipelines, migrating legacy ETL workflows, and collaborating with architecture teams on modernization

Qualifications

• Proven Java development experience in backend systems.
• Strong ETL and data engineering capabilities.
• Experience migrating on-prem data to cloud-native platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java backend and data processing components.
• Migrate legacy ETL pipelines to cloud-native architecture.
• Design and optimize scalable data pipelines and services.
• Collaborate with engineering/architecture on modernization initiatives.
• Integrate modern cloud data technologies into platform ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot and improve backend/ETL performance.
• Participate in testing, deployment, and production support.
