Job summary

Overview

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office (Downtown Toronto) at a minimum 3 days per week, subject to change at any time.

Responsibilities

1. Active participant during Requirement Phase, create dev work packages, drive solution design, and ability to drive project execution in onsite/offshore delivery model.
2. Adhere to coding standards and best practices; perform technical design, code reviews and development activities (Design, Development, Unit Testing, Development Integrated Testing).
3. Support and troubleshoot technical issues during development, QA System Integrated/User Acceptance testing and production support.
4. Coach, guide, and review deliverables from extended offshore team if applicable.
5. Provide daily/weekly status activities to the client team in a timely manner.
6. Role may require on-call production support activities as may be determined with the client.

Required qualifications

Must Have skills:

1. Familiar with both waterfall and agile SDLC lifecycles.
2. Good hands-on development experience in Java for 5+ years.
3. Key Technical Skills:
4. Programming Experience: JAVA/J2EE, Spring Rest services, Micro services, OAUTH2.0, ReactJS, Springboot, Node JS, JavaScript, Swagger/Open API.
5. DevOps Know-how: Jenkins, GitHub, JFROG Artifactory, Ansible, JIRA, Confluence, Azure, OpenShift.
6. Service Discovery and Routing: HA Proxy, Apache web server, F5.
7. Cloud: GCP preferred.
8. Middleware: IBM Open Liberty.
9. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies, applications and systems.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
11. Demonstrated ability to work in an onsite/offshore delivery model.
12. Preferred: Application Migration experience (on-prem to GCP).
13. Educational Qualification: University/College level degree in Information Technology.
