Job summary

Kandor Management Corporation is seeking a Senior System Administrator to lead our IT infrastructure and strategy across multiple companies in the Vancouver area. You will own critical systems, drive security and DR planning, and partner with stakeholders to balance performance and cost.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Azure, SharePoint, M365, and modern security practices, plus experience aligning IT with business goals. On-site Burnaby location; after-hours support expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Windows 10/11 and MacOS, including SQL Server.
• Experience with cybersecurity compliance and deployment across cloud and on-prem environments; EDR, EPP, SIEM, and MDM are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Azure and SharePoint environments including Entra, Azure VMs, SharePoint permissions, and sites.
• Handle Microsoft 365 subscriptions and apps incl. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power Automate.
• Design, implement, and test backup and disaster recovery systems.
• Maintain security across systems and infrastructure; follow best-practice standards.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to maintain a reliable IT infrastructure.
• Engage with VPs/Directors/Managers to optimize IT costs and leverage assets.
• Own IT initiatives such as post-M&A IT integration, new office onboarding, and application deployments.
• Contribute to ISO 27001 alignment and compliance activities.
• Maintain IT asset and software license documentation and processes.
• Provide end-user training and support documentation.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding for IT assets and applications.
