Responsibilities

  1. Plan, organize and manage some or all aspects of a project, including project initiation, planning, execution and closure. Projects will vary in complexity, duration, approach and technology.
  2. Budget development, tracking, and variance reporting.
  3. Resource planning and assignment.
  4. Project tracking and status reporting.
  5. Responsible for coordinating reports and documentation that support the collection of and review of initiatives within the portfolio.
  6. Issue management, including issue logging, tracking, and escalation.
  7. Project change management, utilizing the change control process to manage changes to project scope, budget, and schedule.
  8. Quality management, including review and assurance of deliverables prior to acceptance.
  9. Risk management, including risk assessment, contingency planning, tracking risk status, and initiating contingency plans.
  10. Communication management, including communication planning and execution of the plan.
  11. Deliverable acceptance process, including identification of who will be accepting project deliverables and the process that will be used.
  12. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  1. Valid PMP certification.
  2. Prince2 Practitioner certification is considered an asset.
  3. Minimum 15 (fifteen) years experience in a project management role managing Information Technology projects.
  4. Minimum 5 (five) years experience preparing budgets.
  5. Expertise in project lifecycles and project planning including resource, cost, and schedule estimation.
  6. Experience assisting with the preparation of business cases for IT projects.
  7. Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
  9. Strong facilitation skills.
  10. Strong analysis and problem resolution skills.
  11. Strong communication skills - oral, written and presentation.


Additional Requirements:
  1. Experience planning and managing projects in a Public Sector organization is an asset.
  2. Experience implementing solutions in a gaming (casino) environment is an asset.
  3. Experience managing the implementation of custom developed apps is an asset.
  4. Must have Windows based computer with standard Windows applications.
  5. Must have own MS Visio license.
  6. Must possess own communication device.
