Job summary

RBC Technology and Operations is seeking a seasoned Project Manager/Scrum Master/PO to drive high-priority programs, ensure governance, and deliver strategic technology initiatives. You will coordinate with diverse teams, manage budgets and dependencies, and influence outcomes across business units, including AI adoption and tech enhancements. A strong PM background and RBC frameworks are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of PM/Scrum Master/PO experience with RBC Agile frameworks and tools.
• Strong results-based approach and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of RBC risk policy, standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery with strong governance and stakeholder engagement.
• Facilitate meetings and ceremonies to ensure clear communication of deliverables and benefits.
• Estimate, sequence, and manage tasks, milestones and dependencies.
• Identify and mitigate risks/issues with clear plans.
• Partner with the business to drive strategic technology decisions.

The Fraud and Law T&O team is looking for a professional that is energetic, enthusiastic, with curiosity and passion for driving delivery! As the key project delivery driver on the team, you will contribute your strong execution skills, thought leadership, stakeholder management, governance, and strategic expertise to ensure we achieve our exciting priorities to support our business units. You will drive forward the key high-priority programs and initiatives to ensure the achievement of objectives to transform our organization -including enhancements to our existing technologies and adoption of new technologies including applications and AI.

What will you do?

• Ensure strong, consistent application of the right Project Leadership Capabilities through effective stakeholder and scope management, team leadership, and management of internal and external dependencies
• Demonstrate strong competence in Project Delivery Excellence by establishing and maintaining effective project governance routines, and facilitating and planning meetings and ceremonies to ensure clear, concise and timely communication across project deliverables, including management of project financials and understanding of benefits and business outcomes
• Execute effective Schedule Management skills using scheduling and estimating tools to estimate and sequence project tasks, milestones and deliverables in alignment with desired outcomes
• Uphold effective Risk & Issue Management by proactively identifying, documenting and managing risks and issues with clear mitigation plans
• Drive strategic decisions for the Technology portfolio through ongoing partnership with the business

Must-have

• Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience as a Project Manager/Scrum Master/Product Owner, with knowledge and experience in RBC’s Agile project management frameworks and tools (e.g. Planview, MS Project, Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong results-based approach, able to work independently as well as exceptional team player
• Strong knowledge and application of project risk policy, standards and governance requirements
• Agile and growth mindset with strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity
• Strong interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with ability to lead a team to a successful outcome
• Project Management Professional (PMP)/Certified Scrum Master (CSM)/Certified Product Owner (CSPO) Certification

Nice to have

• Strong working knowledge of banking/technology industry
• Experience actualizing project financials
