Job description

Our Calgary client is looking for a Senior Desktop Support Specialist to provide end-to-end IT support, mentor team members, and maintain their IT infrastructure.

Looking for candidates that are ok with 5 days on site, staggered shifts and on-call rotation.

Must-Haves :

  • 8+ years of Windows Desktop and Application Support experience.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation, auditing, and system changes.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Experience with endpoint management tools like Intune, AutoPilot, AutoComplete, and PatchMyPC.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki platform and TCP / IP stack understanding.

Nice-to-Haves :

  • Project management experience in mid-sized organizations.
  • Azure application registration and MFA / SSO configuration expertise.
  • Strong technical documentation skills for training and operational use.

Responsibilities :

  • Implement IT solutions for seamless business operations and system optimization.
  • Guide and support technical staff, fostering continuous improvement in problem resolution.
  • Develop and document operational processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated incidents and ensure compliance.
  • Perform after-hours on-call support as part of a rotation.
  • Maintain security standards through patch management, MFA enforcement, and Azure app oversight.
