As the Senior Operational technology (OT) (LLC and SCADA), you are responsible forensuring the Vanderlande Baggage Handling Solution at YVR is capable to perform as per design, provide technical support during major complex incidents during operations, identifying and detailing opportunities for system improvements, and support the commissioning and testing of changes or extensions to the baggage handling solution. You will be part of a growing Service department for our YVR service organization at the airport, reporting to the Service Operations Manager. Occasionally you will need to be in our local project office or our Atlanta headquarters. You will have frequent contact with our customer(s), the internal organization, and suppliers.
Job Description
Required Education and Experience:
• Experienced to degree level in a relevant engineering competency
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in controls technology
• Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens or/and Schneider PLC (in particular with Structured Text (ST) programming)
• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
• Experience with high-level controls. (SCADA , IT Networks, databases, software, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering or Computer Science.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. We support a 24/7 operation so some flexibility is required.
Travel:
• Occasional travel to customer sites in North America is required.
• Some international travel will be required for training purposes.

Salary range:
This is a full-time, exempt position, eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent. Salary range for this position is CAD$109,000 to CAD$118,000.
