Senior IT and Security Administrator – Malware Protection Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Administrator with deep expertise in Malware Protection technologies, specifically Trellix, to join our team. This role is for a prestigious client in the financial sector, requiring a highly operational and self-sufficient professional to support, troubleshoot, and upgrade advanced security systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary expert for Trellix technologies, ensuring optimal performance, troubleshooting issues, and managing upgrades.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain advanced Malware Protection solutions, including Trellix, McAfee, Tanium, and BeyondTrust.
  • Provide hands-on operational support and expert-level troubleshooting for security tools.
  • Govern and support Data Security/Protection projects or programs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and tools for security solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to present complex technical solutions in an understandable way.
  • Lead efforts to enhance and optimize security measures and tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of professional IT experience, with 5+ years in security or Malware Protection technologies.
  • Proven expertise with Trellix or similar tools (McAfee, Tanium, BeyondTrust).
  • Strong knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
  • Deep understanding of security concepts, IT systems, and infrastructure.
  • Experience in leading projects or teams (team leadership experience is a plus).
  • Proactive and autonomous, with the ability to deliver results without extensive onboarding.

Preferred Skills

  • 15+ years of IT experience is highly desirable, even if not all in cybersecurity.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or product-specific certifications) are a strong plus.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as finance.
