About the Job

Life360 is undergoing a major redesign of its mobile application to make it faster, more intuitive, and emotionally engaging for families worldwide. As a Senior iOS Engineer on the App Experiences team, you will play a key role in delivering this vision. You\'ll contribute to the development of high-impact surfaces across the Life360 app, including our navigation, home screen experience, and personalized content surfaces to create valuable engagement loops for our customers.

You’ll work closely with design, product, and platform engineers to bring new experiences to life and evolve how millions of users interact with the Life360 platform every day. You’ll be expected to take ownership of features, contribute to architectural decisions, and support a culture of quality, learning, and collaboration.

The US based salary range for this position is $123,000 to $180,500. The Canada-based salary range for this position is 145,000 to 169,500 CAD

Note: Please be aware that the job title for positions in Canada will be "Developer" in lieu of "Engineer." We take into consideration an individual\'s background and experience in determining final salary- therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. What You’ll Do
  • Build and iterate on core app experiences that drive engagement and improve daily utility for Life360 members.
  • Implement modular, reusable, maintainable, and performant UI components using modern iOS frameworks such as SwiftUI, Combine, and Foundation.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate user problems and experience goals into scalable engineering solutions.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the app-wide redesign and information architecture evolution.
  • Ensure a high level of UI polish and experience consistency by creating frameworks that orchestrate surfaces using Life360’s design system.
  • Support app performance, accessibility, and reliability through testing, instrumentation, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct thoughtful code reviews and contribute to a strong, inclusive engineering culture.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience building high-quality iOS applications, preferably at consumer scale.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift, with experience using SwiftUI, Combine, and UIKit where appropriate.
  • Experience working within or contributing to design systems and reusable UI component libraries.
  • Solid understanding of iOS app architecture, performance tuning, and application lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset when working with product managers, designers, and platform engineers.
  • Familiarity with feature flagging, remote config, or server-driven UI concepts is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to delightful, thoughtful user experiences.
Bonus
  • Experience developing and evolving iOS UX frameworks or shared infrastructure for large mobile teams.
  • Experience working on SwiftUI migrations or large-scale UI refactors.
  • Background in location-aware, real-time, or contextual mobile applications.
  • Experience contributing to multi-platform efforts or collaborating with Android engineers and designers to ensure design fidelity across platforms.
