About the role

As a Senior Investment & Personal Banking Specialist Trainee, you will be customer-centric and able to connect with people in a relatable way. As an essential member of the Canadian Banking Branch network, your focus is to provide exceptional service throughout the customer’s journey.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Be passionate about financial sales and delivering trusted financial advice to customers.
2. Provide a full range of customized financial solutions using a financial planning approach.
3. Understand customers’ financial goals and preferences, analyze their needs, and recommend appropriate strategies and solutions to help them achieve their goals.
4. Focus on complex solutions and comprehensive financial planning.
5. Be results-driven and highly engaged.
6. Demonstrate a collaborative approach with peers, customers, and partners.
7. Build relationships by providing a great client experience and growing long-standing relationships with existing customers.

Qualifications

We’d love to work with you if you have:

1. A minimum of two years of related experience selling investment and credit products.
2. Demonstrated sales management experience and the ability to market Scotiabank.
3. The ability to build strong relationships focused on providing a great client experience and growing relationships with existing customers.
4. A license to sell mutual funds and working towards the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning (or bank-recognized equivalent).
