Job summary

Concordia University invites applications for a Senior Analyst of Investments, working in the Office of the Treasurer. The role focuses on governance-ready analytics across a multi‑billion portfolio, including private markets, with exposure to manager selection and risk management.

The incumbent will guide portfolio analytics, develop tools, and support committees with comprehensive insights and scenarios. A CFA/FRM/CAIA asset and strong English skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field; seven+ years in investments, portfolio analytics or risk in an institutional setting.
• CFA, FRM or CAIA designation is an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to build/validate analytics models and reporting.
• Experience with external manager oversight and private markets analytics.
• Knowledge of investment risk concepts: attribution, stress testing, scenario analysis, liquidity.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized investment analysis and recommendations across university investment programs to support risk management and dynamic asset allocation.
• Evaluate total-portfolio performance, risk, and liquidity against objectives and benchmarks.
• Lead systemic risk management, monitor portfolio indicators and risk scenarios for committees and boards.
• Oversee external manager monitoring, performance, risk, and due diligence.
• Enhance private markets analytics: valuations, commitments, liquidity forecasting, and cash-flow modelling.
• Develop and improve analytical tools, dashboards, and data governance across the office.
• Produce portfolio, risk and governance reporting for senior management and Investment Committees.
• Support portfolio operations, market transactions and sustainability data analysis.
• Lead data management and process improvements; mentor interns and technical staff.
• Contribute to strategic portfolio studies and analysis of market and macro developments.
