Job summary

WCB-Alberta seeks a Senior Management Auditor to lead internal audits, assess risks, and strengthen controls across the organization. You will collaborate with diverse teams and external partners to deliver value through advisory engagements and assurance audits.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management and continuous improvement while supporting the Audit Committee and senior management in decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in business, accounting, finance or related disciplines.
• Minimum three years of progressive experience in internal/audit, risk management, compliance or related fields.
• Experience planning and leading complex audits and advisory engagements.
• Strong governance, risk management and internal controls knowledge with sound judgment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to build relationships.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office and aptitude to learn audit software.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal audit engagements and activities per the Internal Audit Plan.
• Assess risks, evaluate controls and provide practical recommendations.
• Apply audit methodologies, risk management and data-informed analysis.
• Collaborate with business areas to communicate observations and recommendations.
• Support coordination with Office of the Auditor General of Alberta and Audit Committee.
• Assist Chief Internal Auditor and team in responding to requests from the Audit Committee.
