Triton might be just what you’re looking for!

THE OPPORTUNITY

Triton is seeking talented, highly motivated, and enthusiastic Senior & Intermediate level Wildlife Biologists to join a well-established team of environmental professionals!

Successful candidates will be part of a team building world-class projects that balance environmental stewardship with responsible resource development. This position will be responsible for providing wildlife specialist expertise to field staff and project management teams.

Responsibilities, depending upon experience level, may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Intermediate level candidates will be more involved in field-based duties such as conducting wildlife surveys and monitoring procedures including breeding bird and herptile surveys, pre-disturbance nest surveys, nest monitoring, various sensitive species-specific surveys, construction mitigation for wildlife, bat surveys and monitoring, and herptile capture and relocation.
  • Providing technical wildlife support to collaborative project teams.
  • Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of work and deliver quality reports on schedule.
  • Liaise with on-site client representatives and contractors.
  • Provide quality and independent review for projects.
  • Provide an understanding of environmental Best Management Practices and advise clients accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively within the Triton corporate culture.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style.
  • Superior problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Valid driver's license from a Canadian province or territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting.

HOW TO APPLY

If this opportunity sounds like you, please apply with a resume and optional cover letter. Specify the office location(s) of interest in your application.

Please apply directly on Triton’s company website under the careers tab section.

This position is a full-time, permanent position.

Intermediate level positions tend to be more field-based; hence willingness and ability to travel and do a field rotational shift schedule is required. Exact shift scheduling requirements could vary and depend upon project needs as well as specific hiring location.

Senior level positions tend to be mostly office-based, working a standard Mon – Fri, 40 hrs weekly, 8 hrs daily working schedule. Although these positions tend to be more office-based, there could be some opportunity to still travel to the field (dependent upon specific hiring location).

Triton promotes and encourages a collaborative working team culture; hence a hybrid work schedule is preferred (remote and coming into the office). However, there could be potential to make the schedule more flexible, including having a more remote working schedule.

COMPENSATION

The pay range can be anywhere from $30 to $65 per hour, depending on candidate-specific experience and qualifications, as well as specific hiring location.
