Job summary

Shift Interiors in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead concept through installation on luxury residential projects. You will shape the creative vision, manage design and technical execution, and build lasting client relationships.

You will guide intermediate and junior designers, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and trades to ensure the design vision is realized at every stage, from first sketch to final detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in residential interior design.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-end residential projects from concept to completion.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability in delivering exceptional work.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Strong client relationships and stakeholder management.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.

The job

The Senior Interior Designer is a new, critical function in the evolution of SHIFT Interiors — a design leader who works side-by-side with the Creative Director to guide exceptional residential projects from concept through final installation. Working within the firm's philosophy centered on wellness, inspiration, and transformation, this role shapes the creative vision and technical execution of highly personalized homes while building strong, authentic, lasting client relationships.

As a studio leader, the Senior Interior Designer translates ideas into refined spaces, owning both the design and project management process for complex residential projects. This includes engaging, guiding and supporting intermediate and junior designers, consultants, contractors, and trades to ensure the design vision carries through every stage — from first sketch to final detail.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Salary Range for this role is $43/hour - $46/hour
