Your Opportunity
The primary role of the Senior Interior Designer is to lead a team to gather, interpret and translate the needs of a client as well as any architectural direction set forth into cohesive interior design solutions. This process will involve excellent communication skills, production of drawings (2D/3D), and written material to support the conceptual direction of interior design and FFE. Success in this position requires strong project management, facilitation, and researching skills to support the findings. This individual will often be required to present the information in formal and informal settings with a willingness and desire to hear and respond to constructive feedback. An individual at this level in their career is expected to perform their role within the standard of care acceptable to their peers in the industry, and be responsible for design excellence, technical quality, project delivery and execution.
A Senior Interior Designer at an interdisciplinary firm may also be expected to work collaboratively with the architectural team, conceptualizing, developing and documenting varying aspects of interior design of a project, including but not limited to space planning, interior architecture, interior materials and palette, specifications and FFE.

As can be inferred from the list of responsibilities, proficient design/documentation software; able to faithfully execute design intent while directing others to do the same; able to effectively execute project documentation while directing others to do the same; able to apply a host of codes and regulations to a variety of project types while directing others to do the same; able to rigorously adhere to design and construction best practices including best practices in sustainable design; able to mentor junior staff and grow the professional capacity of the studio and region; and willing to collaborate with leadership to market the firm and develop business.
