Job Description

As a Senior Integration Specialist at Vention, you will be a key member of the Customer Success team, bridging post-sales implementation and advanced technical support. We seek a highly autonomous engineer passionate about troubleshooting, client collaboration, and delivering impactful support both remotely and on-site.

Your role involves supporting complex industrial automation systems by investigating issues, validating hardware/software configurations, and maximizing system utilization. This combines the mindset of a field service engineer with the expertise of Tier 3-4 technical support.

What you’ll do :

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on automation challenges across Vention’s platform and ecosystem.
  • Lead technical deployments and investigations remotely and on-site, ensuring hardware, software, and robotics systems meet client expectations.
  • Program and validate automation systems using Vention’s MachineMotion controller, MachineLogic software, and client-specific logic (Python).
  • Integrate and commission robot applications with partner technologies (Fanuc, Universal Robots, ABB), including programming, safety setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Support complex escalations by owning and resolving support cases promptly and clearly.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success Managers to identify optimal solutions and deployment strategies.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new hardware/software releases to ensure readiness.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation, including manuals and troubleshooting guides.
  • Manage support tickets in Zendesk, prioritize effectively, and enhance workflows.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and QA teams, sharing insights and feedback.
  • Mentor junior Integration Specialists to develop their communication, ownership, and technical skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related engineering field.
  • 6+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotic systems integration, or advanced technical support.
  • Strong foundation in system commissioning, controls, and machine integration.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (Zendesk) and knowledge base development.
  • Robot programming experience with Fanuc, UR, or ABB is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency in programming (Python) and troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and software layers.
  • Experience with post-sales client environments and high-value enterprise support.
  • Willingness to travel for deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Fluent in English; French and Spanish are assets.
