Qualifications

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

As a Senior Infrastructure Specialist you will Designs, implement, maintains and supports infrastructure services in accordance with business and functional requirements using appropriate SITA standards policies and processes across multiple projects.

Also is expected to oversee the deployment, lifecycle, and monitoring of VHF Infrastructure across North, Central, and South America as part of a team, collaborating with various stakeholders in the respective countries. They should lead the entire lifecycle of multiple projects, ensuring the implemented solutions meet the required functional and business specifications within the agreed scope, budget, and timeline. Additionally, they should actively monitor their assigned region to verify compliance with the desired functional and business requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead small to mid-sized VHF / VDL project delivery from engagement to completion. This may include activities such as, but not limited to, site identification (including survey and lease agreement), operating license authorization, equipment ordering, installation, and cutover.
  • Coordinate with various entities and third-party suppliers during all project phases.
  • Take and maintain ownership of the suppliers process for quotation and purchase request management.
  • Organize all relevant permits and contracts with local landlords and authorities.
  • Ensure all procedures for deployment and maintenance are updated and relevant.
  • Participate in the engineering analysis of existing VHF Ground Stations to identify significant problems or trends, prepare technical reports on the nature and scope of these performances, the anticipated impacts, and provide engineering analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Monitor and control the schedule for the acquisition, construction, and dismantling or relocation of equipment and related structures in accordance with validated requirements and manage in-transit material for construction and installation.
  • Follow up on VHF network performance with benchmarking and proactive monitoring.
  • Provide remote support via phone to on-site Field Engineers.
  • Measure VHF interference and signal levels in site when possible.

Qualifications

WHO YOU ARE

  • Master's degree or equivalent preferably in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or similar. -
  • Applicable and recognized professional certification is desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project delivery in RF / Telecommunications systems / network installation & support domain (preferably in VHF Telecommunication field).
  • Experience in site planning and configuration of VHF Ground Station facilities and equipment.
  • Experience in quality control / compliance of corporate standard of VHF Ground Station installation, test & commission.
  • Experience in coordinating VHF hardware / network refresh program is desirable.
  • Availability to travel based on operational demands.
  • Teamwork and well-developed interpersonal skills.
