Job summary

Anvil is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to deliver mission-critical software to defence, public safety, and national security customers. You will install, configure, and deploy software on secure government infrastructure, build robust containerized environments, and ensure every deployment complies with stringent security and operational standards.

Based in Ottawa with up to 30% travel, you will own the deployment process for the professional services team, collaborate with defence

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software deployment and infrastructure experience, preferably in defence or related industry.
• 3+ years of containerization with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• 3+ years of Linux server deployment and administration.
• Experience deploying and securing production-level systems in government or enterprise environments.
• Experience leading customer-facing technical discovery sessions and stakeholder communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop deployment strategies and maintain detailed deployment plans and documentation.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Deploy, secure, and monitor Linux-based apps and ML models in cloud or on-prem environments.
• Ensure deployments meet government security and operational standards.
