Job summary

Blue J is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Developer to build and evolve our secure, automated platform infrastructure and data pipelines. You will help deploy robust systems, improve CI/CD, and enhance training data workflows as part of a small, high-impact team in a hybrid Toronto-area setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience across development, system administration, Platform, DevOps, and MLOps.
• 3+ years of experience managing and operating production systems.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure and automation, ideally with either AWS or Google Cloud as well as Terraform.
• 3+ years of experience using programming languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript or Go.
• Experience building or operating controlled execution environments for untrusted code would be a significant asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comprehensive understanding and hands‑on experience with both technical and non‑technical practices essential for successful agile software development.

Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a dedicated Senior Infrastructure Developer to ensure our platform infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and continually evolving. Following a phase of rapid growth and success, we are now directing our focus toward advancing the next generation of our Blue J product. As a Senior Infrastructure Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing robust, automated infrastructure that ensures seamless deployment and integration of our product, as well as the training data pipelines that support it. Join us in shaping the foundational backbone of our generative AI offerings.

You won't be starting from scratch. Our automated delivery pipelines and infrastructure are managed as code. You'll have the opportunity to further enhance these systems, help us define what's next!

What You’ll Be Doing

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is CA$160,000 – CA$180,000 per year.
