Hiring: Senior IT Architect/Security Architect
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan, Onsite (5 days per week onsite)
Duration: October 2026 – October 2027 (possibility to extend)
Hourly Rate: $75/hour - $100/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:
The Consultant is to provide services leading to reduced security risk in government's critical information systems as environments are redesigned and as progress is made towards renewing them. Duties will include, but are not necessarily limited to:
- Leading, from a cybersecurity perspective, the upgrade and renewal of Government's critical information technology environments.
- Key participation in Government's Cybersecurity Maturity Security Program.
- Key participation in customer initiatives that require cybersecurity oversight.
- The retirement of legacy environments.
- Other information security, infrastructure renewal, and security architecture initiatives as assigned by the Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch.
Must Haves:
- 5 years’ experience with GOS, or comparable entities, as it relates to the technical and business landscape (Public Sector experience).
- 5 years’ experience working on a variety of technical engagements at a senior level as an IT Architect with the following characteristics: (describe each of the engagements as they relate to the following):
Served as the lead architect or in charge of a major subsystem.
All engagements were performed using a formal IT methodology and within a standard framework for information security controls.
The solution, or a portion of the solution, was successfully implemented.
- 5 years’ experience working with and an in-depth knowledge of an industry standard information security framework such as ISO 27002 or an equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience of DevSecOps operations and automation that support enterprise products and services development and deployment.
- 5 years’ experience with multiple architecture methodologies and an ability to compare them.
- 5 years demonstrated knowledge of a wide variety of technologies and how they are securely implemented.
- Have received formal training in a recognized IT design methodology and have experience implementing that methodology on an IT design engagement.
- Achievement of Architecture related certification such as TOGAF, SABSA, or similar industry recognized certification.
- 5 years demonstrated knowledge and experience with at least one major architecture methodology. Resources should articulate details of the types of projects/engagements in which this methodology was used.
- 5 years’ experience and expertise through multiple projects in architecting solutions.
- 5 years’ experience applying current knowledge of key trends in one or more implemented solutions (such as integrations, data management, technical governance).
- 5 years as an IT Architect through the full lifecycle of a solution. Must demonstrate experience and involvement through strategy, planning, design, implementation, and management of at least one project or engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead in incident and problem management by collaborating with various teams to ensure customer issues are resolved efficiently.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional business experience in a technical field is considered an asset.
- Completion at least one formal course in project management is considered an asset.
