We are seeking a talented Senior Industrial Millwright for the Day Shift at S&C Electric Company. Our mission is to be a leading specialist in electric power switching, protection, and control by creating innovative solutions that provide long-term value. We support clients like Bruce Power, Toronto Hydro, and Hydro Quebec, ensuring reliable power supply.

The role involves supporting production through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system optimization of industrial machinery, while adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing complex equipment failures and providing solutions for mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other system issues.
• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Installing and relocating industrial machinery using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Executing specialized Millwright tasks such as welding, cutting, rigging, and pipefitting.
• Partnering with operations teams to escalate and resolve system issues.
• Fabricating parts and repairing machinery using fabrication tools.
• Researching troubleshooting procedures and maintaining detailed documentation in a CMMS system.
• Operating lifting devices for machinery installation and repair.
• Assisting other trades in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Mentoring junior mechanics and Millwrights.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable safety and environmental legislation.

Minimum requirements:

• Valid Millwright Certification of Qualification (C of Q) 433A.
• 7+ years of relevant experience supporting production operations.
• Proficiency in interpreting schematics and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and safety record.
• Basic computer skills and ability to operate fabrication and testing equipment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
