WSP in Canada is seeking a Senior Industrial/Occupational Hygienist and Business Development Lead for the OHS Group to shape the future of occupational hygiene and safety in Western Canada. You will lead multidisciplinary projects, mentor junior professionals, and drive business development initiatives that expand our impact across industries and communities.

Your leadership will guide proposals, client engagements, and the delivery of risk assessments and compliance strategies.

Qualificações

• 8–15 years of progressive experience in occupational hygiene, safety, hazardous materials, and IAQ consulting.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Occupational/Environmental Hygiene, Occupational Health, or related field.
• CIH or ROH designation (or eligible within 12 months); CRSP and WorkSafeBC Level S are valuable assets.
• Strong business development skills with proven ability to build client relationships, prepare proposals, and manage clients.
• Demonstrated leadership in project management, including financial oversight, scheduling, and change management.
• Hands-on field experience with risk assessments, management plans, abatement specifications, exposure control, and audits.

Responsabilidades

• Lead complex occupational hygiene and safety projects across Western Canada with focus on technical excellence and client satisfaction.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the OHS portfolio, including proposals, client outreach, and opportunity tracking.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering collaboration, learning, and accountability.
• Deliver risk assessments and exposure evaluations for biological, chemical, and physical hazards.
• Interpret and apply regulatory frameworks (WorkSafeBC) and standards (CSA, ANSI, ACGIH, NIOSH) to guide safety strategies.
• Prepare and deliver training programs, technical reports, and client presentations.
• Represent WSP in professional communities and contribute to thought leadership.
