Job Description: Energy Management Specialist

RPI is representing a leading Canadian firm specializing in energy efficiency and decarbonization. They develop and manage tailored energy programs to maximize impact, streamline operations, and enhance customer engagement across sectors like industrial operations, manufacturing, resource processing, and agriculture.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will assist assigned customers with energy management activities, providing advice on developing, implementing, and managing strategies to optimize energy consumption and reduce costs.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Develop energy optimization roadmaps with assigned industrial customers focusing on equipment and energy management practices.
2. Develop energy baseline models using facility data and establish benchmarks to create performance metrics relative to production.
3. Meet as required with facility management to implement and adjust the energy optimization roadmap.
4. Review progress on the Strategic Energy Management training for assigned customers.

Required strengths and qualifications:

• 7+ years of energy management experience.
• P.Eng. or Registered Technologist.
• Credentials such as CEM, CMVP, and experience with ISO 50001 are a plus.
• Experience with industrial systems and processes such as pumps, fans, blowers, compressors, and thermal energy systems.
